Vernissage BELIEVE

The exhibition Believe brings together the works of five photographers from the _ebene photo collective, who visually explore various forms of faith. Faith is understood in a broader sense and encompasses religious, spiritual and cultural dimensions. How does it shape our lives and our communities?
They ask: What unites us, what divides us?

Dominik Maringer shows religious life in Berlin, portraying both small religious organisations and prominent places of worship and finding surprising similarities to the faith of his home town in Austria.

The Source, the second part of the long-term project Jasmine the lovebird, took Sabrina Weniger to Taiwan, the birthplace of her protagonist Chieh, among other places. The trans man processes his external change and inner conflicts using methods of Buddhist faith.

In her photo project, Karin Kutter documents the church holidays and Catholic customs in her home village in Lower Bavaria.

Sabrina Michael wants to get to the bottom of the CLICK of the first encounter (outside vs. inside) in an on-site work together with the visitors.

The sound performance by André Rux as a fifth perspective is intended to aurally complement the character of the examination of the metaphysical themes and make the opening more immersive.
